Chip Introduction

SS8847E is a dual bridge motor driver with two H-bridge drivers that can drive two DC brushless motors, one bipolar stepper motor, solenoid or other inductive loads. The working voltage range of this device is 2.7V to 15V, and each channel can provide a load current of up to 1.0A. The output driver module of each H-bridge consists of P+N channel Power MOSFET configured as H-bridge to drive the motor winding. Each H-bridge includes a circuit for regulating or limiting the winding current. Internal safety functions include current filling and pulling limits, Undervoltage-lockout, over-current protection (OCP) and thermal shutdown implemented by external sensors. The overheat output flag can be used to indicate thermal shutdown.

SS8847E uses 16 pin 5.0mm × 6.4mm ETSSOP package with exposed heat dissipation pad on the back.
